By July 27, 2015 News No Comments

The Australian Government is significantly expanding home care to assist people to remain living at home and to introduce more choice and flexibility for people receiving care at home through Consumer Directed Care (CDC). CDC allows you to have complete control over how your services are provided, and by whom, regardless of your assigned home care provider. With these aged care reforms, our Occupational Therapist can now provide you with independent consultation services as part of your Aged Care package.

More information can be found at https://www.dss.gov.au/our-responsibilities/ageing-and-aged-care/aged-care-reform/home-care-packages

Should you require occupational therapy, this will be identified as part of your ACAT assessment.  As mentioned above, you may elect for your home care provider to provide and/or source this service on your behalf.  If however you wish for us to provide you with our services or should you simply prefer the independence of a third party provider, we would be happy to discuss with you.

Ultimately, it’s about ensuring that you receive the best possible support and care in which to maintain your independence.  Most importantly, it means you can stay in your home longer, happily and safely.

We welcome your enquiry to discuss government funded aged care packages.
